ESPN SAYS COLT WON'T PLAY...OH, NEVERMIND...

ESPN has both Reported and Retracted that Warrior Quarterback, Colt Brennan WILL NOT play in tomorrow's Conference Match-Up against Nevada. There has been NO CONFIRMATION from anybody on the Hawaii Football Staff regarding Colt's availability and the Official word is that he is a "Game Time" decision. Today at practice in Reno, Backup Tyler Graunke took majority of the snaps.

The line has gone from Hawaii at 8 point favorites to Nevada giving 4.

this question is for Rob/Kanoa. You guys go to practice and see much more than we do. Can Tyler Graunke and Inoke Funaki really lead us to victory on the road?

If they run a two QB system, I think they can beat an up and coming Nevada team. But, I'll leave it up to the experts.

Well Kalae...
Tyler Graunke gets as much playing time as any other Starter in College Football. Hawaii throws the ball in practice more than anybody, and Graunke gets 2 to COlt's 4 snaps all season long. He is more than ready for the ball come gameday. However, he has shown to struggle when given the opportunity to shine this season. But we also have to remember that when he left high school he was the most prolific passer in the state of arizona's history. He can sling the rock. Plus, if Funaki is brought in ala time teebow/chris leak, he is extremely accurate and poised to take all the pressure off of Graunke. I really do think that the two of the could lead Hawaii to victory, but I also do think that the most talented quarterback on the field tomorrow night will be on the other sideline.

Does it matter if he plays or not? Colt had visions of a great run going into the second half of the season, but it was he who got run over in a "less than Colt" second half performance in the Fresno game. If any of the UH quaterbacks can't move Hawaii's offense into the endzone, I don't think the defense can single-handly win this game by themselves.

That is true Kaikame. Whther it be his ankle, head, or decision making, Colt has not played the way he did last season. I think Samson, Nate, Ikaika, Mel, and Leonard Peters were major pieces to the puzzle.
