Jim and Kanoa,

I've been very impressed by the UH Warrior football team. Their deeds have shown me that they are learning all the things that college sports is meant to teach young adults: perseverance in the face of adversity, humility in success, the pursuit of excellence, and self-sacrifice in exchange for the greater good.

In the way that "local people" say, "wow, you can tell he was raised by a good family," these young men have shown that they come from a good family. They care for one another with the same love that blood-ties and kinship produce. They behave in a way that make their ancestors proud. They represent us very well.

This team is carving its name in history's tablets. We will remember them the way we remember Tommy Ka'ulukukui's kickoff return, the victories over BYU, and the 1992 Holiday Bowl season.

For the meories they have given me and the shining examples of gentlemanly conduct that they have set, regardless of the way the season plays out, I say thank you and well done to each of them and their coaches.

If UH goes Un-Defeated and doesnt make a BCS game. Should Herman Frazier get fired? It does fall on his shoulders that the easy schedule was part of the reason that they didnt make a BCS game. It may come up. I was just thinking.

Yes Herman Frazier should be fired, but probably wont. The schedule should have been completed before last season, that way no one could use the excuse that they were afraid to play us. Hawaii Bowl here we come....again.

Too bad Boise State lost to Washington earlier in the year. Imagine if both teams were undefeated.

I agree with Kalae only 3 spots out!! Gotta believe guys and stay positive!

Shane, you're absolutley right. If Hawaii wins out and doesn't make it to a BCS game I will not go to another UH Football game until Frazier is gone.

I know it's no longer that meaningful, but does anyone else get a little giddy seeing BYU below Hawaii in the BCS Standings?hehehe

I've got UH ranked at #12 but, I'm a homer and I don't count.
How does Boise State move one spot down after blowing out Idaho? I know it's not a "quality opponent" but you can't punish a team for a 44 point win. Especially when Tennesee just barely beat Vandy. I think those kinds of "glitches" are going to cost a team like UH to just miss a BCS bid.
And yes Rob I do get a bit giddy to see BYU at (all the way down at)25 and UH at 15.

I agree Shane, it would fall on Frazier. But, I'm sure a lot of teams were resistent to play UH this year. A great deal of them saw the potential and there were probably many rejections.

If he should get fired, I can already see the Headlines: "Down goes Frazier, Down goes Frazier"

Just wondering if the BCS Bowls may be influenced by BCS Conferences or top ranked teams in determining if they can say they don't want to play Hawaii or Boise? For instance, could LSU (or any other ranked team) say they would play in a certain Bowl but not against Hawaii? Could the Head Football Coaches say they don't want to play against Hawaii like they did when they didn't want to schedule Hawaii for regular season games? May BCS coaches legitimately vote for every team except Boise and Hawaii in the Coaches Poll to lower the chances of Hawaii and Boise making a BCS bowl game--I understand this may not make much of a difference as it is only one poll that determines the BCS ranking. But could the other polls also be influenced similarly?

When we beat Bosie State on Friday they can't snub us. Of course we'll have to get through washington as well. However if we can't get in the top 12 we can still hope to be ahead of a BCS conference champion. If were ranked ahead of them in the BCS and also ranked in the top 16 we get a bid. Here's the scenario BC loses to Miami this weekend to fall to 8-3 and further down the polls they have already qualified for the ACC championship, so they have to beat either Virgina or Virginia Tech win the ACC but hopefully not jump ahead of the wariors in the BCS. Just one of many scenarios. GO WARRIORS!!!!!
