BESS NAMED ALL-AMERICAN...


Warrior slotback Davone Bess was named to the Rivals.com All-America third team today.
Bess has logged 96 catches for 1,164 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, and ranks fourth in the nation in catches per game.
It's the 2nd Time in his Career he has been named an All-American, after logging Freshman All-American honors in 2005.

HIGH SCHOOL: Oakland Skyline
BUZZ: Bess ranks second among all active receivers with 281 career catches and 3,508 career receiving yards. He has 96 catches for 1,164 yards and 12 TDs this season, and ranks fourth in the nation in catches per game. Bess has caught at least 10 passes in five games this season. He had 15 receptions for 181 yards and two TDs against Boise State.

Waimea Grad and Colorado linebacker Jordon Dizon, Recently named the Big-12 Defensive Player of the year, was also named to the Rivals.Com first team and Oregon center Max Unger, a Hawaii Prep alum, was named to the second team.

BREAKING NEWS:
= Former Rainbow Warrior Standout, Anthony Carter made his first start of the season tonight for Denver, recording 5 points and 4 assists in 30 minutes. Nuggets lost to The Lakers 127-99. AC who missed the first few weeks of the season recovering from hand surgery, came of the bench and posted 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, five steals and only two turnovers Tuesday night against Indiana.
