THINK GREEN!

For the First Time Since 1984, Leilehua Captured the OIA Football Championship on the Same Night that Kaimuki (Division II) scooped up its First Ever League Crown.

The Mules defeated Waianae, 12-3 in a KNOCK-DOWN DRAG-OUT-BATTLE in Halawa, where Sophomore Quarterback, Andrew Manley went 16-of-26 for 135-Yards and 2-Scores. Since being called-up from the JV Squad following injuries to Wing-Men, Kaipo Kea and Kaipo Dorego prior to the OIA Quarter-Finals, Manley is 3-0, Throwing for at least one touchdown in each of the three victories. The Title marks as Leilehua's 3rd OIA Championship as Head Coach Nolan Tokuda joins Hugh Yoshida as the school's only League Championship Coaches.

In the early game, Kaimuki Runningback, 5'2 Justin Paderes TORE-UP the Aloha Stadium turf for 242 Yards Rushing en route to a 21-12 victory over Roosevelt. In Head Coach Darren "DJ" Johnson's first season as "Top Dawg" in Kaimuki, he leads the Green and Gold to its first ever League Championship.

State Championship Playoffs KICK-OFF Next Friday.
