POINSETTIA BOWL PREVIEW...

Over the Next Few Weeks, We are going to Preview College Football Bowl Games that SHOWCASE players/coaches with Hawaii Ties...
San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl:
December 20th 4:00pm (ESPN)
Utah (8-4, 5-3 MWC) vs. Navy (8-4)
The 2007-2008 college football bowl season will kickoff with the Poinsettia Bowl in a very intriguing match-up that features contrasting styles, as Navy will face Utah for the first time ever.
The Midshipmen, will be led by recently named Head Coach, Radford Grad and former Hawaii Quarterback Ken Niumatalolo who replaced former Hawaii Offensive-Coordinator, Paul Johnson who left for TOP-SPOT at Georgia Tech. Niumatalolo has since named fellow former UH Wing-Man, Ivin Jasper as the Offensive Coordinator. The Midshipmen enter their school record 5th straight bowl game owning the nation's top rushing offense at 351 yards per game. Kapolei-Grad and Middies Quarterback, Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada is also enjoying his best season in Annapolis, with 782 yards rushing to go along with 830 yards passing and 17 total touchdowns.
Navy's triple-option offense has lit up the scoreboard averaging over 40 points per game.
On the Flip-Side, Runnin' Utes posses the nation's 3rd ranked scoring defense allowing just 15 points per contest. Offensively, Utah will try to showcase junior runningback, Darrell Mack. California native has impressed, rushing for 1,128 yards picking up 5 yards per carry and 10 touchdowns. Fellow junior back and Iolani Grad, Ray Stowers is 2nd on the team in rushing with 253 yards and 2 scores.

wow, plenty of local boys on the utah team huh? I was gonna cheer for navy but now I don't know who to cheer for. I guess still navy. head coach and qb from hawaii trumps anything else.
