Norm Chow Fired by Titans

Norm Chow was fired today by the Tennessee Titans after three seasons with the team, despite earning their first trip to the playoffs since 2003. The former offensive coordinator at USC, BYU and NC State was a name mentioned for the vacant head coaching job at the University of Hawaii, though he never officially applied for the position. Had the Titans fired Chow three or four days earlier, it may have had an impact on the decision for the universities search for the next head coach.
Chow ran the 21st overall offense in the league with the Titans with 311 yards per game and nine touchdowns during the regular season.

Chow had his chance and didn't apply. Just like JJ if you don't wanna be here, we don't need you!

Had a thread going and ended up talking about food, cause "chow" and "fun", we must be just going crazy cause we gained Mack and lost Sungod. What is your take on Rockne Frietas? Aloha if any of you can answer this I would appreciate it. Keep it up and look forward to Fridays picks, you folks are totally awesome saw the interview on PBS about the AD position. right on.

Did you hear that Norm may just come home, relax and get paid? He also might just be a non-paid advisor to harass his buddy Ron Lee. While Norm probably won't help with the run-and-shoot, just having him at UH might be invaluable. At the very least, he could work with the scout QB, develop players, and provide in-put on breaking down the defense of other teams. Also, can you imagine the impact on recruiting if Mac could say, Ron will mold you (recruit) into an NFL QB, but if for some reason you need more time to develop and get "stuck" on the scout team then this other coach, Norm Chow, volunteered to help develop the young guys. We just might be able to get a 5 star quarterback. Don't wake me from this dream!
